Hello and a very warm welcome!
I am Sophia and I am super passionate about healthy eating and cooking.
Before you roll your eyes and click off hear me out!
My favourite buzzwords like clean eating, healthy eating and optimum nutrition have been abused galore and a lot of people are sick of hearing them. Let me ask you though; is there anything better than feeling on top of the world, buzzing with energy and health?? Eating good food can definitely set you up for that.
As the saying goes: you are what you eat or, more accurately you are what you can absorb. I’d rather be a crisp, fresh salad than a greasy fry-up…
Talking about Gillian – I love her and I was addicted to her show. Body-wise I am more Nigella than Gillian though. I love to eat, albeit healthily, and my metabolism luckily ensures that I would definitely outlive all of you if there ever was a famine. So there!
One of my favourite things to do is to stealthily sneak veggies into as many dishes as I can. To be honest, sometimes the end result is only edible for hardliners like myself so I make sure to adapt the recipe until the rest of the population can enjoy it.
If you ask yourself where I get my nutritional wisdom from let me tell you. I studied nutritional therapies at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond for three years and am the proud holder of their diploma. I am also registered with BANT. This mean my imparted wisdom is definitely not just something I read on Wikipedia and my recipe are generally very balanced and wholesome – not to mention delicious galore!
Studying whilst working full time was definitely hard and it can only be done if you are really passionate about the subject matter- Luckily this was the case for me so here we are!
I hope I can ignite your passion for nutrition and healthy eating with my blog, enjoy reading and definitely try those recipes! Let me know how you get on, much love!
